In-Class Presentations

Niagara Geopark’s in-class presentations bring Niagara’s stories directly into the classroom through engaging, place-based learning. Developed to support geoscience education, local history, and UNESCO Sustainable Development Goal principles, these sessions help students connect what they are learning to the land, communities, and stories around them.

This work has already begun through a pilot partnership with the District School Board of Niagara, where Niagara Geopark has delivered interactive classroom sessions for Grade 7 and 8 students. These presentations have combined storytelling, local geosite examples, and Indigenous perspectives to make topics such as Deep Time, glaciation, stratigraphy, and the evolution of the Niagara Gorge more tangible, relevant, and memorable.

Working closely with educators, Niagara Geopark continues to develop presentations, hands-on learning experiences, and field-based opportunities that help bring geology, culture, history, and stewardship into the classroom in meaningful ways.

Whether you are looking for a curriculum-linked presentation, a place-based learning opportunity, or a program tailored to your students, Niagara Geopark would be pleased to connect.
